Dr. Abdulai is a distinguished academic and finance professional. He holds several advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Finance from Ekiti State University (2020), a Master’s in Industrial Relations from the University of Ibadan (2004), a Master’s in Finance from the University of Calabar (2002), and an MBA in Executive Finance/Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University (1999). Additionally, he obtained a Diploma in Financial Management (1997) and a Bachelor’s in History (1984) from the University of Ilorin.

Dr. Abdulai is currently a faculty member in the Finance Department at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he lectures and examines banking, finance, and microfinancing courses. In addition to his academic roles, he is the Executive Chairman at MarketSight Consulting, where he has been facilitating professional training for close to three decades. His prior roles include General Manager at Poly Ventures Limited, where he managed six subsidiaries and supervised 17 study centers (2003-2017), and General Manager at De-Demark Nig. Ltd (2000-2003). His expertise has been recognized through his consultancy work with the Central Bank of Nigeria on capacity development in microfinance banks.

Dr. Abdulai has contributed significantly to academic research, with publications in reputable journals addressing the economic growth impacts of the non-oil sector and corporate governance in microfinance banks. He is an accomplished Fellow and member of prestigious professional bodies, such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA), the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administrators of Nigeria, among others.
